Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003 and is a community based eco-tourism initiative.

The Palace of Kangla is an old palace at Imphal in Manipur. It was situated on both sides (western and eastern) of the bank of the Imphal River. But now it remains only on the western side of the bank.
Kangla means "dry land" in old Meetei. It was the traditional seat of the past Meetei rulers of Manipur.

                                        The Splendorous Sela Pass:

The Sela Pass is the high-altitude mountain pass located in Tawang District of Arunachal Pradesh. It has an elevation of 4170 m n connects Tawang to Tezpur and Guwahati and is the main road connecting Tawang with the rest of India. Being snow covered most of the year it offers excellent and heavenly views from the spectators. It is believed that about 101 lakes exist in and around Sela pass and each of these lakes has a huge religious significance for the Buddhist community.

                          The Railway Heritage Park cum Museum:

The Railway Heritage Park cum Museum at Tinsukia, Assam has been set up at the confluence of two historic Railway systems of North eastern India namely the Dibru Sadiya Railway (DSR) and the Assam Bengal Railway (ABR), which were linked at Tinsukia City on 1st March 1903.

Its special features are the Air Conditioned Indoor Exhibition Gallery modeled after the Historic Lekhapani Station of Dibru Sadiya Railway, Virasat – the Heritage hall, which houses vintage Steam & Diesel Locos of Meter gauge era, and an Air Conditioned Seminar Hall on Wheels.

                                                Tripura Sundari Temple:


Tripura Sundari Temple situated in Tripura is one of the 51 holiest ‘Shaktipeeths’ in India as per Hindu mythology.
The Goddess ‘Kali’ is worshipped in her incarnation as ‘Shoroshi’ (sixteen year old girl) in the temple by professional priests. An idol of smaller size of Maa Kali called 'Chotto Maa’who stands beside the presiding deity used to be reportedly carried along by the kings during hunting expeditions and also during war for improrptu worship in tents. The temple consists of square type sanctum of the typical Bengali hut structure with a conical dome. The temple was constructed in 1501 A.D. by the then Maharaja Dhanya Manikya.

                                       THE LEGEND OF TEZPUR:
The word "Tez" means 'Blood' and 'Pur' means 'Town'. The name literally means, the town of blood and it gained its name from the mythological story of romance between Usha the beautiful daughter of King Banasura and Aniruddha - grandson of Lord Krishna that led to a furious battle of Hari Hara among the duo Gods Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna resulting into the flood of blood. Later this battle was concluded with peace and led to the union of Usha and Aniruddha.

Ranghar situated in Sivasagar, Assam is Asia's largest amphitheater and was the cultural playground of Ahom Kings which was constructed in 1746 during the reign of King Pramatta Singha.
